1. Introduction

Welcome to DocuChase. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you visit our website and use our services.

2. Zero-Knowledge Architecture

DocuChase is built on a Zero-Knowledge Architecture. This means that we employ AES-256 Client-Side Encryption for all sensitive documents uploaded to our platform.

Your files are encrypted on your local device before they are ever transmitted to our servers. DocuChase does not possess the decryption keys and therefore cannot read, access, or share your sensitive documents. Only the intended recipient (your accounting firm) holds the private key required to decrypt and view the files.

3. Information We Collect

While we cannot access your encrypted documents, we do collect certain non-sensitive data to operate and improve our services:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and billing details provided during registration.
  • Usage Data: Information on how you interact with our platform (e.g., login timestamps, feature usage).
  • Communication Data: Records of communications when you contact our support team.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service.
  • To notify you about changes to our Service.
  • To provide customer support.
  • To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service.
  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues.

5. Data Security

The security of your data is our primary concern. In addition to our client-side encryption for documents, we use industry-standard security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, to protect your account information and metadata.

6. Your Data Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you. If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact us. Please note that because of our zero-knowledge architecture, we cannot recover encrypted documents if you lose your encryption keys.
